Windows 10: Fixing Photoshop crashes

Jan 26, 2016

After switching from my old Adobe Photoshop CS3 to Photoshop CC 2015, it started crashing very often with following message:

```
LoadLibrary failed with error 1114: A dynamic link library (DLL) initialization routine failed.
```

While googling this problem, I couldn't find valid solution for the problem. But the main reason are switchable graphics in my laptop (Intel+AMD). Nowdays computer manufacturers calls it "Discrete graphics"

Before checking my solution, try solution written by deepakgahlot:

Hi,
Open Control Panel
Click on Device Manager
Right Click on Graphics Processor listed under the Display Adapter.
Click on Disable.

Open Lightroom<< Go to Preferences<< Go to Performance tab << Uncheck the GPU
Restart the Lightroom.

Go back to Device manager.
Right Click on Graphics Processor listed under the Display Adapter.
Click on Enable.

Hope it helps.

Thanks

Soo if it didn't work for you as well, try my solution instead:

First step

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Power & Sleep settings -> Additional Power Settings
  3. Change plan settings -> Change advanced power settings Scroll to Switchable Dynamic Graphics
  4. Select Maximize performance

Second step

  1. Go to Configure Switchable Graphics of your graphic card manufacturer
  2. Make Photoshop to use High Performance graphics card.

And you're ready to go!
